No Oxygen – Brain Cells Die In 4 to 6 mins., perform CPR ‘resets’ the clock.PRESTAN ASIA
Why is CPR important?
CPR – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating.
It is very important because CPR helps maintain blood and oxygen flow to the brain and heart – extends the chance of survival in those who suffer a cardiac arrest.
The Heart works as a pump. It pumps blood that contains oxygen from the lungs to the rest of our body. However, without Oxygen, brain cells begin to die in 4 to 6 minutes. Therefore, the first priority in the golden-hour is to start CPR to regulate oxygen in the circulatory system.
Many lives could be saved by giving CPR in an emergency.
